The department of Urology at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital is one of the leading Urology departments in this region for both Urology clinical services and education. It is also one of the busiest clinical department in the campus. he department is home to a committed group of faculty and residents who all share a common purpose- understanding, treating and curing a wide array of urologic diseases and conditions. Our expertise lies in the depth of our medical education and compassion in clinical care.

The department is staffed by 6 full-time dedicated faculty members and 6 enthusiastic residents who provide round-the-clock urology care across both outpatient and inpatient services. Together, they serve two major hospitals on campus as well as four peripheral centers, ensuring comprehensive and accessible patient care. Annually, the department manages nearly 15,000 outpatient visits and cares for around 2,000 inpatients. In addition, the team performs approximately 2,000 urological procedures each year, utilizing advanced technologies such as endourology, laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and renal transplantation to deliver high-quality, modern care.
