Dr. D Ramesh

Dr. D. Ramesh is the Head of the Department of Urology with 30 years of experience in clinical and academic Urology. He graduated from Madras Medical College in 1984 and after initial training in Urology at Kasturba medical college Manipal, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the same institution till 1994. In April 1994 he moved over to Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore where he has been working for the past 27 years in various capacities and currently he also Heads the Innovation Centre in the campus. He has actively pursued academic work and has presented papers at various National and International academic forums and has numerous publications. He is the recipient of the Chakraborthy Travelling fellowship by the Indian American Urology Association. He was the convener and Honorary Secretary of Zonal co-ordination committee of Karnataka (ZCCK) which is an organ procurement agency for the state. He is also on the advisory panel of the state government for organ transplantation.
