Patients can make payments through:

  • bulletCash (up to INR 199,999 as per hospital regulations)
  • bulletInternational credit or debit cards
  • bulletBank transfers (wire transfer/SWIFT)

For any planned surgery, medical procedure, or investigation, a 100% advance payment is required before it is carried out.

If you’re making a payment through an international bank (wire) transfer, please ensure the following:

  • bulletShare a copy of the wire transfer receipt with the hospital for tracking and confirmation
  • bulletInternational transfers may take 7–10 working days to reflect in our account, so we recommend initiating the payment at least 10 days before your arrival

Our Patient Support Services team will keep you updated and assist with any documentation you may need during the process.

  • bulletIf you are using an international credit or debit card, please inform your issuing bank in advance to verify or increase your transaction limit if required, to avoid any payment failures

Foreign Exchange (Forex) Guidelines & Assistance

  • bulletAs per Government of India foreign exchange rules (FEMA), if a patient or attendant is carrying currency exceeding USD 5,000, it must be declared using a Customs Declaration Form (CDF) at the airport
  • bulletThe CDF is available at the Customs counter on arrival
  • bulletFor medical procedures costing more than USD 5,000, we recommend making a direct fund transfer to the hospital’s account in advance
  • bulletIf currency exchange hasn’t been done at the airport, the Patient Support Services team can assist you with the process. Subject to government regulations and permissible limits, we can either arrange for a forex representative to visit you or help you reach the nearest authorised currency exchange centre
  • bulletAll currency exchanges are carried out in line with RBI and FEMA guidelines, and valid identification, along with proper documentation, will be required
Acceptance of Foreign Currency

  • bulletAs per hospital policy, foreign currency is not accepted for payments. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR)
  • bulletIf you’re carrying foreign currency, our team can assist you in converting it to INR through authorised forex services, in compliance with RBI and FEMA regulations
  • bulletPlease ensure you have a Customs Declaration Form (CDF) if carrying more than USD 5,000 in cash, as per Government of India guidelines
Refund Policy

Refund Policy

  • bulletRamaiah Memorial Hospital is committed to a transparent and patient-friendly refund process for all international patients. Refunds are considered only after completion of treatment, and once all outstanding payments and charges are settled.

Refunds will be processed within 10 working days, and patients or caregivers can reach out to the Operations Team for any assistance.
