The Department of General Surgery is one of the major clinical departments in this Institution and one of the oldest surgical departments in Bengaluru. Our Department is a tertiary care surgical center.
The department currently has 20 full time consultants available 24/7. The Department has 5 units on each day of the week and on rotation on the weekend. Week day OPD’s function from 9-00 am to 8-00 pm & 9-00 am to 1-00 pm on Sundays & Holidays. The dept handles all Major & Minor Surgical Cases, being a tertiary referral centre. 24/7 Availability of trauma surgeons is another added advantage. Advanced Minimal access/Laparoscopic procedures are carried out by our surgeons with decades of experience in the field.
