Dr. Padmalatha S Kadamba

Dr. Padmalatha S Kadamba is a Senior Consultant and Head of Department, Paediatric Surgery at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bangalore. She has an experience of 25 years treating children with surgical problems starting from the Neonates to 18yrs of age. She graduated (MBBS) in 1989, from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, India. She had her General Surgery training at Medical College, Bellary, Karnataka and was awarded the Gold Medal in MS(General Surgery) in 1992. She had her MCh Paediatric Surgery training at CMC, Vellore, graduating in 1996. Has worked in Department of Paediatric Surgery in St. John’s Hospital and In Dr. B R Ambedkar Medical college from 1996 to 2000. Worked in King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Riyad, Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2005. Joined her Alma mater in 2005 and has developed the Department of Paediatric Surgery- started MCh Paediatric Surgery training programme in 2011. She is an active member of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgery and its Karnataka Chapter, having conducted and participated in various Operative workshops, CMEs, Webinars and Postgraduate training programmes. Under her guidance, the Department of Paediatric Surgery has become one of the most sought after centres for treatment of Surgical problems in children. She has kept herself abreast with the latest information in her field and has been a PG guide and PG examiner under Rajiv Gandhi University in the field of Paedaitric Surgery.
