Dr. Arul Ponni is the Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology with over 23 years of professional experience. She received the Indo-American Cancer Association (IACA) Fellowship Award and a Traveling Fellowship in 2015, completing training at Yale New Haven Health University, Greenwich Hospital, Connecticut, USA, and Albert Einstein Medical College, Montefiore Medical Centre, Bronx, NY, USA. She participated in the IAEA Regional Training Course on Radiation Protection and Safety in Radiotherapy held in 2003 at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Taejon, South Korea. She also presented at the Second International Clinical Oncology Congress on Brachytherapy in Gynecologic Cancers – Newer Techniques held in Tehran, Iran, in December 2017. She has contributed extensively to the institute by leading the COVID-19 audit and NABH processes. She is a recognized postgraduate guide, an active member of ISO, and a faculty member in IV therapy workshops. Her clinical interests include Breast Cancer, Gynecologic Cancer, Head and Neck Cancer, Lung Cancer, Brachytherapy, and advanced high-end radiation technologies.
