Dr. Mukundan Seshadri

Dr. Mukundan Seshadri, Consultant – Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at Ramaiah Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, is a distinguished name with over 27 years of an illustrious career in the fields of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Dr. Mukundan has performed over 9,000 cardiac and thoracic procedures including 6,000 Beating Heart Surgery procedures.

A Gold Medalist in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery as well as Physiology & Pathology, a Silver Medalist in General Surgery, Dr. Mukundan has completed his MBBS & MS (General Surgery) from B.J. Medical College, Pune, followed by M.Ch. in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery from CMC Hospital, Vellore and DNB in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery from Perambur Railway Hospital, Chennai.

Dr. Mukundan joins us from Manipal Hospital, Whitefield & Varthur, Bangalore and has been associated with some of the prestigious healthcare institutions including Perambur Railway Hospital, Chennai, Mallya Hospital, Trinity Hospital and VIVUS (Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Heart Center), Apollo Hospitals, Columbia Asia Hospital – Yeshwanthpur in Bangalore in Lead – Cardiac Surgery roles. He has completed his overseas Fellowship in cardiac Surgery from Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand and was a Senior Registrar in the United Kingdom working in Pediatric cardiac Surgery and Adult cardiac Surgery in Liverpool, Birmingham and Coventry. He has completed his ODTS Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons.
