Dr. Hariprasad Kanakapura Veerendranath is a consultant emergency physician and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Ramaiah Medical College, with over a decade of clinical and academic experience. He is an alumnus of MSRMC, holds MD and DNB in Emergency Medicine, and has obtained international qualifications including Membership of Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK) and European Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, along with postgraduate diplomas in Medical Law & Ethics and Geriatric Medicine. A medical educator and postgraduate guide, he is actively involved in training, examination, and certification activities, including serving as an international examiner for the MRCEM OSCE.
His professional interests include acute care and resuscitation, point of care ultrasound, sepsis quality improvement, community CPR and stroke literacy programmes, and geriatric emergency medicine. He plays a key role in institutional initiatives related to code blue systems, stroke centre certification, patient safety, emergency preparedness, and infection control. He is a recipient of multiple academic honours including the RGUHS MD Emergency Medicine gold medal and the NBE President's medal for DNB and membership of National academy of medical sciences.
